Bollywood superstar Katrina Kaif can’t wait to unveil her wax figure at the world-famous London attraction, Madame Tussauds, on Friday 27th March.
Speaking to press about her soon-to-be unveiled wax figure at the L’Oreal Paris Femina Women Awards 2015 held in Mumbai recently, Kaif said, “It was really exciting when I first heard the news. It is something which will be there forever. I have grown up in London for a few years, so it brings back lot of nice memories. I would be launching it on March 27 in London at the main Madame Tussauds and I am really looking forward to it.”
2015 is the 15th anniversary of Bollywood at Madame Tussauds London, and to celebrate the world-famous attraction has created a glamorous new setting for its Indian film stars, including a brand NEW wax figure of Katrina Kaif, which guests can visit from Saturday March 28, 2015.
The stunning star has become the seventh Bollywood actor to be honoured with a figure at Madame Tussauds London – her inclusion has a special significance as she was voted for by fans*, just as Amitabh Bachcahn was in 2000.
Katrina, who collaborated closely with the Madame Tussauds artistic team to ensure total accuracy, was delighted with the figure, which is portrayed in a dancing pose wearing a beautiful sequined white, silver and gold, two piece outfit.
Katrina’s figure was created by a team of 20 sculptors and artists over a four-month period, using hundreds of precise measurements taken at a sitting in Mumbai and cost £150,000 to create.
The Dhoom:3 actress is currently working on Fitoor with Aditya Roy Kapur and Jagga Jasoos with Ranbir Kapoor. Kaif also filmed for Phantom with actor Saif Ali Khan in the English capital last year, which will release in UK cinemas later this year through Disney UTV.
