Pooja Hegde who has just wrapped the Housefull 4 schedule in London was quite excited to shoot a song recently, since it was choreographed by ace choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan.
For Pooja, it was “the most incredible experience”. She said, “Farah Khan is great fun to work with. It was a fun shoot. The song is a catchy number and by the end of it, the entire unit was singing along. I was working with Farah for the first time and really looking forward to it.”
“I have learnt Bharatanatyam for around 10 years and it definitely helps. Also, Bollywood dance is not a different genre, we do incorporate a lot of other dance forms. It’s all about just enjoying the music. For this film, I am also working on my comic timing, as comedy is serious business,” she added.
After much anticipation, the fourth installment of the superhit franchise Housefull went on floors a few weeks ago in the Queen’s city and has already wrapped its first schedule.
One of the most popular franchises in Bollywood, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull series has always found London at its heart as the earlier films were shot there as well.
Wrapping the first schedule of 25 days in London, the team celebrated the wrap of the first schedule by cutting two cakes and will now fly down to Rajasthan for the next schedule.
Sajid Khan who had directed the first two films in the Housefull franchise would return to direct the fourth installment in the series. Interestingly his sister Farah Khan was roped in to choreograph a song pictures of which had been making the rounds of the internet piquing the interests of the audience. It was a full house with Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Riteish Deshmukh and Kriti Kharbanda grooving to Farah’s cues. But what gave the song its twist were doppelgangers of the royal family.
Revolving around the theme of reincarnation, the film follows a non-linear narrative and all the flashback sequences will be shot in Rajasthan. A lavishly mounted set is being built in Mumbai for the finale. Chunky Panday, Johnny Lever, Boman Irani and Nana Patekar are also a part of the House.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Housefull 4 will release in UK cinemas around Diwali 2019.
Sajid Khan has returned to the Housefull franchise and kicked off the fourth instalment of the film in London. The shoot has started off with choreographer and Sajid’s sister Farah Khan taking out time from her holiday in the English capital to film dance sequences with the large cast.
Housefull 4 sees Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh and Chunky Pandey return to the comedy film and has added Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hedge and Kriti Kharbanda to the cast.
A song composed by Sohail Sen is currently being filmed at locations including Tower Bridge, Greenwich and will feature over 150 background dancers from London. A lavish set has been constructed too and several London buses have been hired for the sequence.
20th Century Fox will release this Nadiadwala Grandson production in UK cinemas next year.
Kriti Sanon, who has been basking in the success of her last release, Bareilly Ki Barfi, will now be seen in Housefull 4.
With Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 4, Kriti Sanon will be reuniting with her mentor Sajid Nadiadwala for the second time after her debut film Heropanti.
Housefull 4 marks lot of firsts for Kriti, be it by making her debut in the genre of pure comedy or a maiden role in a franchise.
While talking about the film Kriti shares, “Joining the cast of Housefull 4 is like coming back home. My journey started with Sajid sir in Heropanti. Since then, he has always been there for me and has guided me. I can’t wait to work with him again and that too, in the super-successful Housefull franchise!”
This epic laugh riot will be directed by Sajid Khan, who had helmed the first two instalments. Touted as a reincarnation drama, it will be mounted on a huge budget and set in two eras. The film will be extensively filmed in London this summer.
Starring Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol and Riteish Deshmukh, the team is gearing up to make Diwali 2019 a bumper celebration.

Returning to films, actor Bobby Deol has been busy shuttling between Yamla Pagla Deewana – Phir Se and the third instalment of the Race franchise.
While his home production has Sunny and him playing brothers and father Dharmendra as a charming, flirtatious lawyer renting out rooms from the duo, Race 3 which also features Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Saqib Salem and Daisy Shah, is more about song, dance along with twist and turns.
Bobby Deol has now also signed Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 4 which stars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh in the zany comedy. Housefull 4 revolves around the theme of reincarnation and is sure to be a laugh riot.
After the success of the first three Houseful films, the makers are keen to take the film to the next level and believe Bobby fits in perfectly.
