To ensure three times the fun for the third installment of the Housefull franchise, the makers of the upcoming movie, Housefull 3, have bought the rights to a Cyndi Lauper song which features at No 22 on Rolling Stone’s list of 100 greatest pop songs. “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, not just as a part of the song but also for the trailer.
Penned and recorded first by American musician Robert Hazard in 1979, the Lauper single released four years later, a song that music lovers have grown up listening to.
Featuring the three girls—Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Lisa Haydon, the trio of beauties pranced on the iconic bridge and sailed down the Thames, after obtaining relevant permissions which was a long and tedious process. The expensive song was finally shot in the night on the London Bridge and the Thames.
Starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon, Housefull 3 has been directed by Farhad-Sajid. An extremely popular franchise, Housefull 3 is an Eros International presentation, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson has announced that Sajid Nadiawala will shoot two of his upcoming productions, Kick starring Salman Khan and Housefull 3 starring Akshay Kumar, in the British capital next year.
“Film-making is massively important to both our cities and we need to build on the momentum that already exists,” Johnson said, promoting London as the perfect location for India’s song-and-dance spectaculars in Mumbai.
“I want to make it as easy as possible to film in the city, whether you want to feature an iconic landmark as a backdrop (or) take advantage of our second to none post-production facilities,” he said according to AFP.
Johnson also bumped into Bollywood superstar Kajol on a flight during his trip to India.
Kick and Housefull 3, to be shot in London next year, will be produced by Nadiawala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
