Actress Parineeti Chopra, who will essay the role of a mad scientist in her forthcoming film Hasee Toh Phasee, says the movie kept her ‘hooked’.
“Hasee Toh Phasee hooked me completely. I had to stay very focused. It is very easy in a romcom to either play a shy or a bubbly girl with a love story in the backdrop along with lovely songs and climax,” Parineeti said in a statement.
Directed by Vinil Matthew, the movie also features Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. Matthew is all praise for the actress, who made her Bollywood debut with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.
“Parineeti was my first choice for the role of Meeta as I felt that she alone could pull off the quirkiness that the character required. She is quite a hard-working actress and has done a great job with this film,” he said.
Produced by Dharma Productions and Phantom Films, Hasee Toh Phasee will release in UK cinemas on 7th February 2014.
