Yash Raj Films’ newest release Pathaan is continuing its UK Box Office. As reported on Monday this week, the film has shattered Box Office records in the UK for an Indian title.
The film opened in UK cinemas #2 for the weekend 27th-29th January, collecting £1,415,870 from 212 locations.
The film collected a historical £1,967,854 over its extended five day opening weekend with a very high site average of £9,282.
The film was the #1 film at the UK/Ireland Box Office chart on Monday and Tuesday this week ahead of Disney’s The Avatar: The Way of Water. The total collections of the film in its first seven days has already crossed £2.36M, making it the sixth highest-grossing Indian film at the UK Box Office of all time.
Ahimsa Entertainment‘ release Varisu is playing in 22 locations in its third weekend and collected a decent £16,774, with a site average of £762.45. The total gross of the film stands at £839,562.
DG Tech Ltd‘ release Thunivu is also in its third weekend, but performing better than Varisu based on site average collections. The film collected £9,585 from 7 locations, with a site average of £1,369.29. The total gross stands at £379,926.
SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster RRR re-released in 1 locations over the weekend, collecting £3,506 bringing the total gross to £978,496.
Other new Indian films that opened during the 27th-29th January weekend include: Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam – £ 8,257.57 from 35 locations; Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh – £ 5,972 from 45 locations; Alone – £2,907.94 from 24 locations.
