T-Series’ Ek Villain Returns starring John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria has opened to impressive numbers at the UK Box Office.
Released by DG Tech LTD for T-Series, the romantic-thriller opened in 44 locations, earning £128,494 in its first three days (29.07-31.07) at the UK Box Office, with a site average of £2,920. With a 15 classification from the British Board of Film Classification,
Indian film Vikrant Rona starring Kichcha Sudeep, Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok and Jacqueline Fernandez opened to disappointing numbers even though it had a multiple language release. The film was released by Dreamz Entertainment Limited in Hindi and Kannada. It opened in only 29 locations, taking in £14,674, with a site average of £506. In Ireland the film took an additional £2,477 from 3 locations, with a site average of £826.
Yash Raj Film‘ Shamshera had a disappointing second weekend with locations dropping to 15 from the 61 it had during its opening weekend. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer only collected £4,980 over the weekend, with a site average of £332. The total gross stands at £78,673.

The multi-starrer family entertainer earned £ 3,013 from 15 locations, with a site average of £ 201 in its sixth weekend. The total gross of the film stands at £400,046.
The British Film Institute released Satyajit Ray’s 1963 drama Mahanagar (The Big City) in multiple locations as part of the Satyajit Ray: The Language of Film season.
