Reliance Entertainment’s big Christmas UK release 83, starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, dropped down to number 10 at the UK box office chart in its second weekend.
The film has collected another £85,909 over the weekend 31.12-02.01, bringing the total to £450,942. The sports epic directed by Kabir Khan was released on 23rd December 2021, debuting at number 5 with £182,518 from 122 sites in its opening weekend. This includes £44,619 from 105 previews.
In comparison, Sooryanvanshi, also released by Reliance in November 2021, collected £433,535 in its second weekend. The Akshay Kumar – Katrina Kaif starrer is currently the highest grossing Bollywood film of last year at the UK box office with a total gross of £583,983.
The total gross of 83 includes all versions; Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. All versions of the film have been classified with a 12A rating by the British Board of Film Classification.
83 is produced by Phantom Films, Reliance Entertainment, Kabir Khan Films, Vibri Media, KA Productions, and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
