International acting and singing sensation Priyanka Chopra has teamed up with Bollywood co-star, actor-producer Farhan Akhtar to lend her voice to the title track of this year’s most awaited release, Dil Dhadakne Do. Written by Javed Akhtar, the video of the song features Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma & Farhan Akhtar
While Farhan has sung songs in movies like Rock On, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Priyanka had lend her voice for Bollywood movies like Mary Kom. But this will be the first time that the two performers will come together and create musical magic onscreen.
This song will mark a new milestone in Priyanka Chopra’s singing career. Her international singing debut was In My City feat. Will.i.am, while her second single Exotic was with international rapper Pitbull. Her third single I Can’t Make You Love Me went on to chart topping heights and was even featured in the top 100 international songs and albums.
Dil Dhadakne Do is a comedy-drama set on a cruise ship. The story begins in the sparkling lifestyle of popular Delhi socialite couple Neelam and Kamal Mehra. In celebration of their 30th wedding anniversary, they invite their family and close friends for a 10-day cruise around Turkey. A holiday that will change the lives of the Mehras forever.
‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ is presented by Junglee Pictures and Excel Entertainment, and produced by Excel Entertainment. The film is set to release internationally on 5th June 2015.
