Having received unprecedented applause for her performance as an autistic young girl in Anurag Basu’s Barfi!, the versatile Priyanka Chopra not too long ago also took home two Stardust Awards for Best Actress (Drama) which she shared with Sridevi for English Vinglish and Star of the Year (Female) on the star-studded evening.
The heart-wrenching love story between a deaf-and-mute boy and an autistic girl, also won Priyanka a Lions Gold Award for Best Actress, Best Actress – Popular Choice at the Screen Awards, Zee Cine Awards Best Actress and the Bollywood Hungama Surfers Choice Award.
Says Priyanka Chopra , “This film was a labor of love for all of us and to see it receive such amazing success is so gratifying.
