Karan Johar has said that working with Yash Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan again in Yash Raj Films’ yet-untitled production, also starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma has been an emotional experience for him.
The multi-talented director, producer and costume designer was in the British capital recently to attend the opening ceremony of the London Olympics 2012.
Speaking to UK Bollywood reporter Sunny Malik, Johar, who has previously styled Shah Rukh Khan in films like Mohabbatein and Main Hoon Na, said, “It was great working on the film. I have done all Yash ji’s films from Dil To Pagal Hai to Veer Zaara and now to the yet-untitled film with Shah Rukh. It’s an emotional project for me, not a professional one. I mean, I am not really a designer by profession. I am a designer by hobby.”
“But doing Yash ji’s film is a tremendously emotional experience because it possibly will be his last film. He has gone on record to say that. I had to be a part of it. The fact that it has Shah Rukh, makes it even more special. I am really proud that I will have a credit as a costume designer in the film,” added the Student of the Year director.
“Shiraz Siddique was on the sets because I could not be here in London all the time because of my commitments,” explained Karan.
Yash Chopra’s yet-untitled next is slated to release in the UK in November 2012.
