With the biggest names in the industry sharing the same platform, Eros International and Bhansali Productions, unveiled the third teaser poster of their unconventional rom-com Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi along with a music preview of the film.
A tribute to Bollywood’s most popular romance Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, the poster was unveiled by none other than Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who graced the event with his presence in support of the light-hearted film. Also present at the event were the film’s leads Farah Khan and Boman Irani, director Bela Bhansali Sehgal, producers Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Sunil Lulla –joined by their close family and friends.
On the occasion said Shah Rukh Khan, “Love stories have conventionally been made with young jumpy teenagers and I think it’s high time people made romances that go beyond a stage, time or pace for love to happen.” He added, “I wish director Bela the best for the film. I’ve seen a few rushes and I think they look great. I’m excited with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s association with such a light-hearted film. Boman on the other hand is one of our finest actors and Farah being a dedicated director makes her adding debut”.
The actor wasn’t the only one all praise for choreographer turned director turned actor Farah Khan. Producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali added “I think casting Boman and Farah was a huge decision we made and not something that you’d expect. With Farah in many ways she’s like a soul mate, she has been an amazing director and I’m sure audiences will vouch for the brilliant job she’s done in this film”.
Talking about the film producer Sunil Lulla, Eros International said “We are very excited to be associated with this project – Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi is an unconventional light-hearted film that has something for everyone”.
Apart from unveiling the third teaser, guests were also treated to the film’s music preview as Sanjay Leela Bhansali, sister Bela Bhansali Sehgal , Farah Khan and Boman Irani took to the stage to shake a leg to the peppy track “Ramba Mein Samba.”
On a lighter note, commenting on the all-Parsi star cast of the film Boman Irani said “We felt there were too many Punjabi based films happening so thought why not make a movie on Parsis”. While Farah Khan said “My mother is here today and I’m really happy. Shah Rukh is a dear friend and has been very supportive .He was really excited with the trailer”.
Starring Boman Irani and Farah Khan, Bhansali Productions and Eros International’s Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, directed by Bela Bhansali Sehgal is scheduled to release in the UK on 24th August, 2012.
