The announcement is finally made. According to Karan Johar’s recent tweet Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki will go on the floor this month, directed by Ayan Mukherji.
Karan Johar tweeted: “Our film…YEH JAWANI HAI DEEWANI starts this month…directed by ayan mukherji and stars RANBIR- DEEPIKA and ADITYA ROY KAPUR and KALKI….(sic)”
The last movie Ayan and Ranbir did together was Wake Up Sid. The movie did great both in India and overseas and it was declared a Hit. People say, Wake Up Sid was an inspiration from director’s life… We wonder what inspired Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani?
‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ has already created buzz in the media for many reasons, including the fact that this movie will bring back together the beautiful pairing of Ranbir and Deepika on-screen after a long time. A treat for all Ranbir and Deepika fans! Plus, it would be interesting to watch the other two star cast Aditya and Kalki together for the first time.
It is also the first time for Deepika Padukone to work in a Dharma Productions film as it was known to be one of her desires for a long time. The film starts principle shooting in Manali on 18th March 2012.
