Pritam made it a point to not a sign a film post October last year. Simply because he had promised his family some quality family time. Apparently the music genius had not taken a holiday for over a decade. He recently confided that he got back straight to work after his wedding and that too was over a decade ago. To make up for, the music maestro took a trip to London with his family but soon his film commitments caught on.
Pritam needs to start work on the score of the Saif Ali Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer, Phantom.”I am yet to compose a single song for the film. Kabir (director Kabir Khan) and I have discussed the kind of music the film needs. Once I see what he has shot, I will get a better idea of the overall sound-scape,” he says.
He also needs to work on the background score of Danis Tanovic’s Emraan Hashmi starrer, Tigers. “All these films are prior commitments which I have to finish up by November before I sign any new films,” said Pritam, who has not signed a single film after October last year after his much-loved Shaadi Ke Side Effects and Holiday.
Nadiadwala Grandsons Entertainment Pvt Ltd will be shooting their much awaited action movies, Heropanti and Phantom in Kashmir, back-to-back, in January 2014. It will be the first time for any production house to have two consecutive shoots in the heavenly state.
Phantom, which stars Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif, and Heropanti, which marks the debut of Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon, both, will be shot there, between 14th to 23rd January.
At the peak of the cold winter, shooting in Kashmir could mean facing a barrage of challenges for the NGEPL team – a tense region, freezing temperatures with heavy snow and a deadline. Well aware of all the challenges that may come along the way, the team has decided to go ahead with the schedule and finish the shoot as planned.
Phantom is an action-thriller directed by Kabir Khan and Heropanti, a romantic-action film, directed by Sabbir Khan.
Disney UTV will release both, Phantom and Heropanti, in UK cinemas this year.
Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming action-thriller, Phantom, starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif, has begun shooting in Mumbai.
The film began shooting in October 2013 in Beirut, Lebanon. During the shoot in Lebanon, the cast and crew were provided security due to the political instability in the country.
Saif Ali Khan, who plays the lead role, will be seen speaking lines in Kurdish, which the actor reportedly learned specially for his role.
The movie is about post 26/11 attacks in Mumbai and global terrorism, where Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif play the role of secret agents.
“The shooting for the Mumbai schedule has begun and we can see the movie progressing as envisioned. Both the actors, Saif and Katrina, have worked hard for their roles. Phantom is an intense action-thriller and is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat”, said producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Phantom is directed by Kabir Khan and is scheduled for a 2014 release.
