Indian Telugu film Dasara has opened well at the UK Box Office, with half of the weekend gross coming in from strong previews.
The film, released by DG Tech Ltd on 31st March, took a total of £108,625 including previews from 53 locations in its opening weekend, with a high site average of £2,050. The total weekend gross includes £58,383 from 48 previews.
Reliance Entertainments’ Bholaa had a wider release than Dasara but failed to bring in decent numbers despite a strong opening in India. The film collected £58,612 from 119 locations, with a site average of £493.
Zee Studios’ Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway made just £7,173 from 20 locations in its third weekend, with a site average of £359. The total gross of the Rani Mukerji starrer stands at £142,634.
Yash Raj Films’ Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has also slowed down in its fourth weekend, collecting £6,530 from 19 locations, with a site average of £344. The rom-com has made a total gross of £371,808 at the UK Box Office.
This week T-Series will release its Hindi crime-thriller Gumraah starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Mrunal Thakur and Ronit Roy. It is a remake of the 2019 Tamil film Thadam.
