‘Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva’ gets a 12A BBFC classification for its UK release

Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva has been submitted in several languages to the British Board of Film Classification by distributor Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures UK for its UK release on Friday, 9th September 2022.

The BBFC has classified the various Indian language versions of the film with a 12A rating. The BBFC classification of 12A means that no one younger than 12-years-old may see Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult.

The runtime of the Ayan Mukerji directorial is 166m 31s (2h 46m). The film is released in UK cinemas by Disney for 20th Century Studios UK.

Inspired by deeply rooted concepts and tales from India’s ancient history yet set in the modern world, Brahmāstra: Part One: Shiva is an epic story of fantasy, adventure, love, and hope, told using cutting-edge technology and never-seen-before visual spectacle. The grand adventure features a stellar ensemble cast of some of India’s most beloved actors, including Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni.

Produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures, Brahmāstra: Part One: Shiva will release in the UK  in Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, in 2D, 3D and IMAX.
