Sony Pictures UK will release Indian film Major in cinemas nationwide in Hindi and Telugu on 3rd June 2022.
The film is produced by Sony Pictures Films India and stars Adivi Sesh, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathy, and Murali Sharma.
The action-drama is based on Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan – an officer in the Indian Army serving in the elite Special Action Group of the National Security Guards who ended up saving hostages at Taj Hotel during the Mumbai Attacks in 2008. He was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award, on 26 January 2009.
Major is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, and produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies.
