Reliance Entertainment’s sports drama 83 starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone has collected £8,830 from 16 sites in its fifth weekend (21.-23.01) at the UK box office, bringing the running total of all versions (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil) to £571,830.
It is now inching closer to the highest-grossing Indian film at the UK box office last year, Sooryavanshi, which earned £584,469 over six weeks.
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures UK is still pushing Ahan Shetty’s debut film Tadap, which has now taken in £3,696 from 9 sites in its eight weekend, with an impressive total of £182,462. The film is releasing on Indian streaming site Hotstar UK from 28th January.
There are currently no further Hindi film releases scheduled till 11th February, when Zee Studios is set to release Badhaai Do.
