Bollywood crossover star Priyanka Chopra is set to publish a collection of personal essays and stories in a forthcoming memoir titled ‘Unfinished’.
The memoir is set to hit book stores in the UK next year through Michael Joseph, an imprint of Penguin Random House UK. After appearing in more than forty Bollywood films, the 35-year-old shifted her base to the US a few years ago, to pursue a career in music, signing up with Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope Records.
She released a couple of songs featuring the likes of will.I.am and Pitbull to mixed reaction in the US. Being a superstar back home, her songs made it to top of charts in India.
Although her singing career never really took off and debut album never saw the light of the day, she turned back to acting and became the first Indian actor to be signed as the lead for a US TV show; Quantico. She has since starred in Baywatch with Dwayne Johnson and will be seen in the upcoming drama A Kid Like Jake, co-starring Jim Parsons and Octavia Spencer.
Chopra is living the American dream as she quickly became a household name in the US winning the People’s Choice Award, featuring on TIME magazine’s 100 issue and gracing countless magazine covers in addition to slaying it with her fashion choices on every red carpet. Being a close friend to Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, she created quite a splash with her stylish appearance at both, the Royal Wedding and private reception.
Speaking about ‘Unfinished’, Priyanka said: ‘The flavor of the book will be honest, funny, spirited, bold, and rebellious, just like me. I have always been a private person; I’ve never spoken about my feelings during my journey, but I am ready to do so now. I was raised to be fearless when it came to opinions, and I would like to tell my story in the hopes of inspiring people–especially women–to change the conversation, to shatter glass ceilings. Women are always told we can’t have everything. I want everything, and I believe anyone else can have it too. I’m proof of it.’
One of Priyanka’s fan was quick to point out that the title of the book had been revealed quite a while ago, during Chopra’s Vogue’s 73 Questions segment.
The actress has also been making headlines about her rumoured relationship with Nick Jonas, as the duo have been spotted on numerous occasions, including at Nick’s cousin’ wedding. The two are currently in India, where Priyanka is reportedly introducing Nick to her family and friends. We wonder if PC, as she is fondly called by her fans, will be spilling the beans about her liaison with the youngest Jonas Brother in the book.
