Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award 2015 for his performance in film Happy New Year at an event in Mumbai on 21st April 2015.
Directed by Farah Khan, the film was produced by the actor’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and released in UK cinemas through Yash Raj Films last year.
The action-heist comedy also starred Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah. Happy New Year collected £1,335,099 from UK cinemas through its theatrical run here.
Shah Rukh Khan was also recently honoured at the annual Asian Awards in London with outstanding achievement in cinema.
