Deepika Padukone is currently working on her next film Piku with Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan.
After learning Tamil for Chennai Express and a Maharashtrian accent for HNY, Deepika will now learn Bengali for Piku. The actress did workshops with director Shoojit Sircar and also took help from Moushami Chatterjee.
Deepika said, “I’ve played a Tamilian in Chennai Express, a Gujrati in RamLeela, Maharashtrian in Happy New Year, a Goan in Finding Fanny…and now a Bengali in Piku. Bengali is a soft and lovely language. It’s always fun to learn a new language and a different learning experienence.”
