Hrithik Roshan has released a statement on leaving Karan Johar’s production Shuddhi.
Shuddhi was to be directed by Karan Malhotra (Agneepath) and reunite Hrithik Roshan on-screen with Kareena Kapoor Khan. Principal shooting for the film was due to start in May 2014.
Karan Johar just last week announced in an interview that the film may go through a change in cast as the film has been continuously delayed due to Hrithik Roshan’s health.
Hrithik Roshan’s statement read, “Karan Malhotra and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post Shuddhi. For now, I cannot allow a vision like Shuddhi to stagnate any further. I had the finest experience an actor can have working with Karan M in Agneepath and I’m sure both my dear Karans [Karan Malhotra and Karan Johar] are going to go beyond with this one! Shuddhi remains a part of me in spirit & am sure it will be a landmark in our cinema. I wish them all the best!”
Hrithik Roshan is currently filming for Fox Star Studios’ Bang Bang with Katrina Kaif.
