Director Karan Johar has confirmed on Twitter that Alia Bhatt, who made her debut in Johar’s Student Of The Year, will star in Abhishek Varman’s 2 States.
The film is Karan Johar’s first co-production with Sajid Nadiawala.
Alia Bhatt will be playing a Tamil girl in the film and is reportedly trying to pick the accent and is also learning the typical household culture of a Tamil home.
Also starring Arjun Kapoor, the film is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel, 2 States: The Story of My Marriage.
