Chakravyuh received a 15 minutes standing ovation after its screening at the prestigious Empire Cinema in Leicester Square. The film was part of the official ‘Thrill Gala’ selection of the 56th BFI London Film Festival.
Former Indian Premiere League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi was also present at the premiere and was extremely moved after watching the film.
“Saw ‘Chakrayavuh‘ premiere in London with my good friend Arjun Rampal. The movie really moved me and gave me insight into the Naxalite (Maoist) problem that has been spreading across our country,” tweeted Modi.
He also emphasized that the movie highlighted many unknown insights about the Naxalite issue that every Indian should be aware about.
Further elaborating his experience he added, “Must see and must congratulate Prakash Jha for having brilliantly depicted and captured the story. Arjun and Abhay have played their roles brilliantly”.
Starring Abhay Deol, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee, Esha Gupta, Anjali Patil and Om Puri, Eros International will release Chakravyuh on 24th of October in UK cinemas.
