Celebrating the festive spirit and the rich heritage of Indian textiles, Bhumi Pednekar graced the annual Cartier Condé Nast Diwali Party in London last weekend, dressed in a custom creation by Torani from their 2020 collection titled “Dopahar”.
The ensemble, specially curated for Bhumi by stylist Rhea Kapoor, is a stunning tribute to India’s history of chintz textiles. The look features a silk organza sari, paired with a chevron choli, a modern choga jacket, and an odhani, bringing together multiple layers and textures that reflect both tradition and modernity.
Bhumi’s choice to wear this symbol of Indian heritage in London is an ode to the origins of India’s global footprint in fashion and trade. It serves as a reminder of the unmatched craftsmanship and timeless influence Indian artisans have held across centuries, continuing to inspire and innovate within the global fashion industry
