UK Box Office: ‘Leo’ stays atop the charts in its second weekend

Tamil film Leo is still at the top for all Indian films at the UK Box Office currently, despite a huge drop in weekend collections. The film has become the highest grossing Tamil film ever in the UK.

In its second weekend, the film had a change in -49 locations and played across 135 sites, collecting £89,634 – a drop of -92% from its opening weekend, with a site average of £664. The total gross of the film stands at £1,417,017.

Zee Studios released Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail in UK cinemas on 27th October. The film opened in just 39 locations in its debut weekend, scoring £17,151, with a site average of £440.

Kangana Ranaut has delivered another Box Office disaster with Tejas. The film also opened on 27th October in just 35 locations, collecting a disappointing £8,275, with a site average of £236.

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan, released by Yash Raj Films, has slowed down considerably after crossing the £3M mark. The film dropped to just 12 locations in its 8th weekend, a change of -2 from its previous weekend. It collected just £4,566, a gain of 17% from last weekend,  bringing a site average of £381. The total gross of £3,096,675 has secured its position as the second-highest grossing Indian title at the UK Box Office of all time.

Another Hindi disaster came in the form of Ganapath – Hero Is Born and has also crashed in its second weekend. The film played in 13 locations, a change of -43 from its opening weekend. It collected just  £2,318, a -86% change, with a site average of £178. The total gross of the film is at £29,494.
