Red Chillies Entertainment’s Jawan, released by Yash Raj Films, has crossed the £2M mark at the UK Box Office, becoming the third film since 2018 to achieve the milestone.
The film has also dethroned Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani as the second-highest grosser of the year so far.
Jawan played across 239 cinemas in its second weekend (15th-17th September) collecting £480,243 with a site average of £2,009, much lower than the second weekend of Yash Raj Films’s Pathaan, released earlier this year.
The total gross of the film stands at £2,351,867 and it is on course to become the second highest grosser of all time at the UK Box Office for an Indian title.
Mark Antony made its debut on 17th September in 100 locations, collecting just £77,487 with a site average of £775.
Buhe Bariyan released by Bakrania Media also made its debut on the weekend in just 35 locations, collecting £ 25,206 with a site average of £720.
Dharma Productions’ Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is now its eight weekend and still showing in a decent 37 locations across the UK. It collected £24,589 over the weekend 17th-19th September, with a site average of £665. The cumulative gross of the film is at £2,342,453.
Gadar 2 – The Katha Continues collected £1,778 in its sixth weekend from 15 locations, with a site average of £119 bringing the total to £692,754.
