Moviegoers Entertainment to release Pakistani epic ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’

Moviegoers Entertainment will release Pakistani epic The Legend of Maula Jatt in UK cinemas on 13th October. The film stars Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Gohar Rasheed, Ali Azamat, Faris Shafi, and Humaima Malik.

Director Bilal Lashari created Maula Jatt by bringing the legendary hero of the east to life through cutting-edge film-making techniques of the west. The epic cinematic experience is set to unite regional, linguistic and cultural domains through its blockbuster approach to storytelling. Lashari’s debut film, WAAR, single-handedly revived the Pakistani film industry breaking box office records in his home country.

When Bilal Lashari of Lashari Films and Ammara Hikmat of Encyclomedia joined hands in 2016, they set out to make history by creating The Legend of Maula Jatt. A project with the grandest aspirations, the team spared no expense in ensuring that world class quality production came to Pakistan. In order to reinvent Maula Jatt and his nemesis Noori Nath, Lashari envisioned an entirely new visual and thematic identity that is designed as a homage to the iconic film series that captivated audiences for nearly two decades.

The Legend of Maula Jatt marks groundbreaking film production with the most successful Pakistani actors, never before seen imagery from the region shot entirely in the Punjab province, state-of-the-art visual effects and monumental production design. The film has the same VFX team that worked on Marvel movies such as Venom, Black Panther and Avengers. The action seen in the film has been worked on by the same stunt team as Hollywood’s Gladiator and 300.
