Reliance Entertainment’s 83, directed by Kabir Khan took in £182,518 (including previews) from 123 screens in its three-day opening weekend at the UK box office. The film was released in UK cinemas on 24th December 2021 in three versions; Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. The film opened at number 5 on the UK Box Office chart.
Starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, the film failed to attract audiences to the big screen during the Christmas holiday period, as the estimated box office number for the film were predicted to be much higher.
Produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films the sports biopic also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi.
The film is also produced by Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan Pictures, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, and 83 Film Ltd.
